Mission:
Junior Achievement's core purpose is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. With the support of positive adult role models who volunteer their time, Junior Achievement enables young people to understand business, citizenship, economics, entrepreneurship, ethics/character, financial literacy and work readiness. The programs also encourage confidence and motivate young people to achieve their personal, educational and career goals. JA holds an annual Business Hall of Fame reception honoring a local business person who has made a substantial impact on the community. JA also holds its annual Bowling For Scholars Bowl-A-Thon in February. Local businesses are also asked to make tax-deductible donations to support JA's economic education programs.
